Livonia Franklin Americana MCBA Marching Competition
October 13, 2018 "Saturday Morning Cartoons"
Special thanks to Andrea Paul for capturing memories of the performance.
Marching Skills
Judges look for uniform space size of steps, horn angle, upper body posture! Each individual must give 110% for the entire show!
|
Front Ensemble
The front ensemble added character costumes to help sell the show to the judges. The front ensemble does not march so it is crucial they are very secure and accurate in their musicianship and performing their music!
|
Visual Design
In addition to marching skills, musical skills, and front ensemble, the band is also judged on the visual effect of their entire show. A special thank you to the parents that built the amazing cereal boxes and TV screens for the show. The high school art students painted the exterior portion of the TV sets! The TV screens that made their first appearance at the competition today, are a vinyl wrap that was designed to reflect the same visual appeal as the cereal boxes and the flags!
