Day 1 - Rain, rain, go away!
Fortunately the weather cooperated long enough to get the luggage unloaded and start our afternoon outside rehearsal. Unfortunately, it was interrupted one hour into the rehearsal. We still took advantage of the time and didn't let it slow us down. We are fortunate to have indoor rehearsal space with rooms for each section to run rehearsals. The afternoon was spent in sectionals. Following dinner we met as a large ensemble and continued indoor rehearsal. We finally ventured back outside for rehearsal around 7:30 pm. There was still a light rain but progress was made! A special shout out to Mrs. Negin and Mrs. Navarro for providing the memories of band camp!
The evening activity for Monday was allowing the students to get unpacked, settled and their rooms decorated for the contest! |
